Today we're thinking about Jesus' authority and our response. In a time when earthly authorities can struggle with the demands placed upon them, we can have total confidence in a God whose authority is complete, and yet whose love is as great as his power.

Let's pray

We thank you, Lord, that you are the King who reigns over the universe you have created. Thank you that you reign too in the hearts of those who have given their lives to you. Encourage those today, Lord, who have you as the King of their hearts, and challenge those for whom this is not a decision they’ve made yet. May each of us find strength in your authority, comfort in your love and hope in that your eternal kindness. You are the everlasting God. Amen.
