Welcome

Prayer; Lord Jesus fill me with your spirit, that I may be occupied with your presence. May the comforter, cheer me in my sorrows, sustain me in my trials, revive me in my weariness, His presence render me a fruitful tree of holiness, His might establish me in peace and joy, His incitements make me ceaseless in prayer, His animation kindle in me undying devotion.

Send Him Lord, as the searcher of my heart, to show me more of my corruptions and helplessness, that I may come to you. Amen.

Amen.

Father in that last hymn we had that wonderful picture of the river flowing from your presence that we read of in Ezekiel, 47. Father, through your Spirit’s power, come, refresh each heart tonight. We confess in life we often get weary, the light of Jesus that should be shining brightly in us, and through us, tends to be dimmed. Lord as you immerse us in your spirit, may the spirit of Jesus shine forth from us once again, that we might be your witnesses throughout this world.

Lord Jesus today; we thank you for your great mercy. Mercy that has triumphed over judgement by your blood. Thank you for cleansing these sinful hearts of ours, and continue we pray, to bring us into a closer likeness of you. May our lives be a blessing to those around us, as filled with your Spirit we become like refreshing showers falling on barren lives. Lord; we offer these prayers tonight, that they may be acceptable in your sight. Amen.

Please turn in your bibles to Galatians and read from Ch 5 v 22-25. Then either watch or read through the sermon provided.

Lord Jesus, we long to be men and women whose lives are more like yours. Help us tonight as we hear your word, to be challenged afresh to possess the nine-fold fruit of the Spirit Paul speaks of here. Amen.

Prayer

Father we thank you for that wonderful truth, that Before a word was spoken. The hands that held creation, were wrapped around my heart.

Before a day had broken

You set Your love in motion.

Lord thank you for Jesus, thank you that He’s with us, by His Spirit. May our worship of you be ceaseless, coming from the deep, deep love we have in our hearts and lives for you. Amen.

If like Jill and James, the Lord has laid something on your hearts today, then please do get in touch with us, we’d love to hear from you. Have a good week, and we pray we can join together next Sunday.

May the Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord make His face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you. May the Lord turn His face towards you and give you His peace.

Amen.
