Introduction

Good morning to everyone joining us today, whether online or in the building, we pray that God will speak into our hearts and lives today.

Let us pray,

Father we come before you this morning to offer our sacrifice of praise with thanksgiving, because we worship you, we adore you, we honour you, Father we put aside anything that would distract us from concentrating on You, we want to keep our minds and hearts on you. We thank you that we are once again with our brothers and sisters worshipping in this place, it is a real blessing.

Father we think of the places around the world which are struggling with fires, floods, may we all when we see or read about these events look to you and say come Lord Jesus come.

Father may this time honour you and glorify you as we sing, as we listen to your word, we ask in Jesus name Amen

Notices

It is really good to be back again with one another, wont be long before we are having refreshments after the service.

There is a prayer meeting on Thursday at 2 o'clock, it would be really good if as many as possible attend as we seek God's face.

The Wednesday night meeting will remain online for the time being.

If things stay the same then keep an eye out for September as we hope to start the film or quiz night on Friday's.

Again a thank you for all who contribute to this fellowship by encouraging one another whether by whatsapp, phone or visit, all you do is appreciated.

The monthly newsletter should be available online from tomorrow, now something for the young at heart.

Zacchaeus

Zacchaeus song

Luke 19:1–10 (Listen)

Jesus and Zacchaeus

19:1 He entered Jericho and was passing through. And behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus. He was a chief tax collector and was rich. And he was seeking to see who Jesus was, but on account of the crowd he could not, because he was small in stature. So he ran on ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see him, for he was about to pass that way. And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, hurry and come down, for I must stay at your house today.” So he hurried and came down and received him joyfully. And when they saw it, they all grumbled, “He has gone in to be the guest of a man who is a sinner.” And Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, “Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor. And if I have defrauded anyone of anything, I restore it fourfold.” And Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, since he also is a son of Abraham. 10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”
