A warm welcome to you all for our service today. As Ali and Merv are having a break Peter will bring us God’s word from Acts 2, you may wish to have a piece of bread and a glass of water, juice or wine ready for the communion.

Acts 2 V 38: ‘Repent and be baptised, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.’ Let’s pray: Lord may we all feel the presence of Your holy spirit amongst us all today as we worship you our Saviour. Amen.

Before the throne of God above.

Let’s pray:

Lord, we come before your throne today trusting only in your grace and mercy, shown to us on the cross. Help us to turn away from Satan’s temptations, and forgive us our sins. Our sinless Saviour died so we can be free indeed, the sinless for the sinful the never changing King of glory, Our redeemer. Amen

As we come to Your table lets sing ‘There is a redeemer,’ and ‘Lord I come to you.’

I, the Lord of sea and sky

Over this coming week why not turn to your church directories and pray your 5 a day prayers, and consider if you could call at least one person a day from our fellowship.

As we won’t be meeting in church until September, we need to continue to pray and nurture our church family at LEFC, and show the binding love of Jesus to all who have connections to us.

It’s been a long time since March, but God’s love will see us through.

Please pray for Merv and Ali as they spend time with their family and have some time together.

Closing Prayer:

Lord Jesus, you have made known to us the things of the Kingdom today.

Show us how to apply what we have learned in this service to our daily lives.

Help us to make wise choices throughout the week for the glory of your name. May we be able to sift through all that we have learned so that we can walk in your ways.

Father, give us wisdom that leads to love and faith. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.
