Sunday 24th May AM

Welcome

Welcome to our service this morning. I encourage you to work through the times below in order to help give a sense of our togetherness, engaging in the same things, whilst we are apart. Our time of worship includes songs, prayers, and hearing from God's Word the Bible. Please download and print the activity sheets for children before you start.

This morning we continue our series in Proverbs.  From next Sunday we will put Proverbs to one side for a while and rejoin our journey through Matthew's gospel.

Welcome

Song: O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer

Song: Yet not I but through Christ in me

Prayer - with Dan & Yvonne

Family activity - Amazing!

Sing the song using the link below...

Did you remember all the actions?

Read Ephesians 1 v 18 -20.

The song is a ‘glory’ song. It is glorifying God.

To glorify someone is to praise them as much as they can possibly be praised.

Can you remember some of the words in the song that tell us what God is like?

Discuss with your adults/siblings what each of them means.

Did you notice, in the bible passage it says; ’his (God’s) incomparably great power…..(v19)?

No power can be as great as God’s. That’s amazing, isn’t it? Well, did you notice something that is even more amazing?

Who is God’s incomparably great power for? Us, who believe. (v19)!!

You don’t have to do everything by yourself. You don’t have to be strong enough or brave enough to face things because God has given you his amazing ‘mighty strength’ power. To have some idea of the measure of that strength read the second half of verse 19 and all of verse 20.

AMAZING!

Pray:

Thank you God that you are so wonderful and so powerful but you still love me. Help me to believe and trust in your saving power. I pray Father God that I will know what it is to rely on your power and strength and not to battle on in my own strength. Amen.

PAUSE FOR PRIVATE THOUGHTS: What is worrying you? Share it with your Heavenly Father. He knows all about everything and loves you.
