Sunday 14th June AM

Welcome

Welcome to our service this morning. I encourage you to work through the times below in order to help give a sense of our togetherness, engaging in the same things, whilst we are apart. Our time of worship includes songs, prayers, and hearing from God's Word the Bible. Please download and print the activity sheets for children before you start.

Welcome

Song: Behold our God

Song: Grace awaiting me

Family Activity

Read Exodus 3:1-12

What country where God's people living in? (v8)

What was life like for God's people? (v7)

God spoke to Moses.  Did you notice from where? (v2)

Why did Moses have to take of his sandals? (v5)

What job did God give to Moses? (v10)

How did Moses feel about this job? (v11)

What did God say to help Moses? (v12)

Sometimes we too might feel afraid that we can’t do the things that God wants us to do. We might feel that we don’t have the strength or the skills to achieve what God wants of us. If we are Christians we worship and trust the same God as Moses. God sent Jesus to be our rescuer and if we put our trust in Jesus, God promises to give us His Spirit to live in us to give us the desire and help to live God’s way.

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father. Thank you that you heard the cries of your people in Egypt. Thank you that you hear our prayers. Please give us your strength and ability to live your way and to show that we belong to you in everything we do. Amen.

Bible Reading - Matthew 10:34-11:1

"Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35 For I have come to turn

"'a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law-- 36 a man's enemies will be the members of his own household.'

37 "Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. 38 Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me. 39 Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.

40 "Anyone who welcomes you welcomes me, and anyone who welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me. 41 Whoever welcomes a prophet as a prophet will receive a prophet's reward, and whoever welcomes a righteous person as a righteous person will receive a righteous person's reward. 42 And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones who is my disciple, truly I tell you, that person will certainly not lose their reward."

After Jesus had finished instructing his twelve disciples, he went on from there to teach and preach in the towns of Galilee. (Matt. 10:34-11:1 NIV)

Sermon (Matthew 10:34-11:1)
