Morning service welcome by Merv

At the name of Jesus.

Let's continue worshipping the Lord Jesus this morning singing, Worthy, O worthy are you Lord.

Worthy O Worthy are you Lord

Lord we thank you today that as we've just sung, You're more than a conqueror, You're Lord of everything.

Come; Lord Jesus, and reign in each of our hearts today by your Spirit's power.  Amen.

Communion Hymn Thank You for saving me

Prayers

King David said. You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it;

You do not take pleasure in burnt offerings.

My sacrifice, O God, is a broken Spirit; a broken and contrite heart

You, God will not despise.

Let’s pray. Father on this Lord’s day we bring our prayers of praise before you with some words from Ps 34. “I will extol the Lord at all times; His praise will always be on my lips. I will glory in the Lord; let the afflicted hear and rejoice. Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt His name together.

Father we do indeed give you the glory today. For a New day in you. For the privilege of knowing you. For the knowledge of your hand upon our lives, and for the joy of our salvation given to us through the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Father thank You today for keeping us safe through this pandemic. For watching over us and protecting us. Father our thoughts and prayers go out to the many who have sadly lost loved ones during this period, and we ask that you will comfort all who are mourning today.

Lord, please be with Audrey Caisley’s family, Jo and Rachel, as they mourn Audrey’s passing. Comfort them Lord we pray, and may they have treasured and fond memories of growing up in a Christian family. Lord we pray for one of Audrey’s passions, the annual Keswick Convention that she’d supported for many years. Amen.

We pray for James and Pat’s grandson Tom, who has encouraged his colleagues in the army to attend an Alpha course with the chaplain. We give thanks that many came along, and we pray as they hear the word, that many will turn to you, the living God. Amen.

We pray today for those struggling with their faith. Those finding their walk with you challenging. Father hold fast in your hands, all in that situation today. Comfort and reassure them of your great love for them. A Love secured for us, through the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Holy Communion

We come now to God's word so please turn in your bibles to Acts 5 v 17-42. Father, as we come to Your word now, please speak Your word into our hearts today, that we may grow in our love for You, and our obedience to Your word. Amen.

All heaven declares

Bible Society are thankful that during this pandemic they have been able to continue to
support refugees in Jordan. We would pray with them for wisdom and strength and for God to plant his peace in people's lives, that their basic and spiritual needs will be met
during this difficult time. Amen.
