Good morning and welcome to this service, we trust it will be a blessing to all who attend and to those who follow the service on line, you are all most welcome.

let us pray,

Father we thank you for this place, we thank you for one another, we thank you that we can come along freely to worship, give praise, hear your word, and share communion together, we are so grateful for all that you have done for us, we thank you for the blessings of answered prayer, we thank you for yhe encouragement from your word, and from one another.

Father we ask that you would draw close to those who cannot be with us today either through sickness or on holiday, may they know your peace, the shelter of your wings, the refuge that only you can give.

Father we are so grateful that while we lost, without understanding or knowledge of your Son, you loved us and gave your Son for us, for the forgivess of sins, so that we can be cleansed, become a new creation and call you Abba Father.

So Father we offer this time to you may it bring honour and glory to your name, we ask in Jesus name Amen.

And can it be

Blessed Assurance

Notices

Good morning, our activities are getting back to where they used to be.

Wednesday is the new day for prayer, Bible study and fellowship. This week we are starting with the book of Daniel and will be a bird’s eye view of the book, covered in just two videos by David Pawson (approx. 40 mins), so in just two weeks we all should have an understanding of the book of Daniel. I also have the diagrams and pictures that David used in his talk and these will be made available. The meeting starts at 2 o'clock and is open to everyone.

We are continuing with the house group studies on a Tuesday evening using WhatsApp but we are hoping to attend people’s homes very soon.

Also starting soon Sunday School, Friday night movie / quiz / Bible study / prayer / fellowship. Saturday youth groups. Keep an eye or ear out for future announcements.

Please note on Sunday 19th September we will be taking photos during and after the service for our web site, so pleasde attend if you are free to do so.

Now something for the younger ones

The Good Samaritan

Jesus you're my superhero

John 21:11–25 (Listen)

11 So Simon Peter went aboard and hauled the net ashore, full of large fish, 153 of them. And although there were so many, the net was not torn. 12 Jesus said to them, “Come and have breakfast.” Now none of the disciples dared ask him, “Who are you?” They knew it was the Lord. 13 Jesus came and took the bread and gave it to them, and so with the fish. 14 This was now the third time that Jesus was revealed to the disciples after he was raised from the dead.

Jesus and Peter

15 When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Feed my lambs.” 16 He said to him a second time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Tend my sheep.” 17 He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, “Do you love me?” and he said to him, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep. 18 Truly, truly, I say to you, when you were young, you used to dress yourself and walk wherever you wanted, but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will dress you and carry you where you do not want to go.” 19 (This he said to show by what kind of death he was to glorify God.) And after saying this he said to him, “Follow me.”

Jesus and the Beloved Apostle

20 Peter turned and saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following them, the one who also had leaned back against him during the supper and had said, “Lord, who is it that is going to betray you?” 21 When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus, “Lord, what about this man?” 22 Jesus said to him, “If it is my will that he remain until I come, what is that to you? You follow me!” 23 So the saying spread abroad among the brothers that this disciple was not to die; yet Jesus did not say to him that he was not to die, but, “If it is my will that he remain until I come, what is that to you?”

24 This is the disciple who is bearing witness about these things, and who has written these things, and we know that his testimony is true.

25 Now there are also many other things that Jesus did. Were every one of them to be written, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written.

Genesis 4:9–10 (Listen)

Then the LORD said to Cain, “Where is Abel your brother?” He said, “I do not know; am I my brother’s keeper?” 10 And the LORD said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood is crying to me from the ground.
