THURSDAY: 29th October: Prayer meeting at BREC between 8.00 and 9.00 pm with social distancing measures in place including the wearing of face masks / visors unless you have medical exemption. It is imperative that you contact Stephen Hall on brecsec@googlemail.com or text /phone him on 0754 858 6614 by Wednesday evening 28th October if you plan to attend.

NEXT SUNDAY: 1st November we are continuing our series, with kind permission from All Souls Langham Place London, on ‘When God Asks the Questions’. David Turner will be speaking on ‘Where is your brother?’ Genesis 4:1-16

Points for Prayer and Praise

PRAISE

  • For Jo completing her chemotherapy course and good progress so far. Pray for Jo, Will and the family as Jo awaits results of the latest scans and as they continue shielding as a family.
  • For the unique opportunities in the current situation through online evangelism and church services
  • For God’s protection through a difficult time.

PRAY

  • For Fiona and her family following the sad news of her father’s sudden death. Pray also for her mother in hospital.
  • For Auntie Ethel as she has an operation on her leg as a day patient this coming Tuesday 
  • For safety of Playgroup staff, children and families.
  • For fair USA Elections on 3rd November and a peaceful outcome.
  • For wisdom for the UK government as they balance the risk of Covid-19 spreading with the needs of protecting all citizens and the economy. Pray that further measures introduced will reduce the infection rate.
  • For all those working in the health service, including members of our own fellowship. Pray the safe response to a second spike, causing a rise in demand.
  • For our Elders, the Leadership Team and all who are continuing to stay in touch with and support church members.
  • For the development of an effective and safe Covid-19 vaccination.
  • For each member of the church, that we continue to support one another, family members and neighbours.
  • For those in our fellowship in Care Homes – Ethel, Anna, June, Carole S, Lyndy. May they know protection and God’s presence giving them hope.
  • For those amongst us who face the possibility of redundancy or who are concerned about future job prospects, and those who have decisions to make about what will happen with their business and their staff.
  • For those preparing our Sunday services.
  • For the Chelmsford Foodbank and for Chess, that they might operate effectively & safely during this time of great need in the local community.
