Welcome to today's service celebrating Palm Sunday.
Please listen to the songs and sing-a-long with them if you are able.
There will also be some content for the children as well, with activities for them to complete at home.
Thank you for joining with us and may God bless each one of you through this time.
Loving God,
Give us joy in our hearts as we shout hosanna, welcoming Jesus our King with palms, celebrating all that we hope for as the Easter story unfolds.
Then, as the journey of Jesus turns towards Good Friday, help us know that you are with us when celebration turns to sadness.
Give us the faith we need to follow you on the way to the cross, which leads to life.
AMEN
The splendour of a King, clothed in majesty
Let all the Earth rejoice
All the Earth rejoice
He wraps himself in light
And darkness tries to hide
And trembles at His voice
Trembles at His voice
How great is our God, sing with me
How great is our God, and all will see
How great, how great is our God
Age to age He stands
And time is in His hands
Beginning and the end
The Godhead Three in One
Father Spirit Son
The Lion and the Lamb
The Lion and the Lamb
How great is our God, sing with me
How great is our God, and all will see
How great, how great is our God
Name above all names
Worthy of our praise
My heart will sing
How great is our God
You're the name above all names
You are worthy of our praise
And my heart will sing
How great is our God
There are three activities for the children (although adults are more than welcome to participate):
- Easter Journal. Keep a record of what you've been doing in the lead up to Easter Sunday. Draw some pictures of what you've done.
- Palm Hands. Make some palm hands to wave and celebrate Jesus our King.
- Word Cards. Print and cut out the words and then put them back together to make the Palm Sunday story.
Why not share them to the Church WhatsApp group or Facebook page so we can see your efforts.
11 As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage and Bethany at the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two of his disciples, 2 saying to them, “Go to the village ahead of you, and just as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. 3 If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ say, ‘The Lord needs it and will send it back here shortly.’â€
4 They went and found a colt outside in the street, tied at a doorway. As they untied it, 5 some people standing there asked, “What are you doing, untying that colt?†6 They answered as Jesus had told them to, and the people let them go. 7 When they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their cloaks over it, he sat on it. 8 Many people spread their cloaks on the road, while others spread branches they had cut in the fields. 9 Those who went ahead and those who followed shouted,
“Hosanna![a]â€
“Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!â€[b]
10 “Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David!â€
“Hosanna in the highest heaven!â€
11 Jesus entered Jerusalem and went into the temple courts. He looked around at everything, but since it was already late, he went out to Bethany with the Twelve.

Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy - to the only God our Savour be glory, majesty, power, and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and for evermore.
AMEN
